I am a writer, but also an actress, genealogist, horsewoman and researcher into many topics of a historical as well as a paranormal nature. My original education background was in science. I was pre-med in college and did work for many years as a respiratory therapist in major hospitals in the Houston, Texas metropolitan area. I did a lot of work in emergency rooms as well as intensive care so I know my way very well around a professional medical environment. That said, I will say that my experiences in conventional medicine at the highest level are what in part drove me to totally embrace alternative medicine for most things and that has been reinforced in the last 3 years or so by having lost a lot of my family to medical and drug blunders.

I always loved horses and became a professional horse trainer and rode in many horse shows also in the Houston, Texas area. I wrote a few articles in the past for Horse of Course magazine. In fact one of my first magazine articles was for Horse of Course, and that got me well bitten by the freelance writing bug. For many years wrote a paranormal oriented column titled STRANGER THAN FICTION, for the Lynchburg Ledger Newspaper. I am also a past member of The National Society of Newspaper Columnists. I am a member of Press Media Group and a stockholder of same.

I studied Journalism at The University of Houston.

I have also enjoyed acting on stage and in films at a semi-professional level. Some of my writing and stage and film material may be seen on my fan page on facebook.

Because my family was prone to a lot of odd experiences as I was growing up, also became very involved in studying psychic phenomena, UFO's and things that go bump in the night. In recent years my interests have turned to genealogy, and I have learned things about my family history that may "explain a lot."

My interest vary widely but I am very much an expert on the above things I have mentioned, that in summary being the paranormal, science, medicine, alternative in particular, UFO's, horses and horse training, history, and genealogy, which is enough to list for now.

My primary education was at the University of Houston, but I also attended Houston Community College, later The University of North Carolina in Charlottesville, Blue Ridge Community College also in NC, I had operetic voice lessons at Frostburg College in Frostburg, MD. I also took courses at the University of MD in various things.

I have been a member of the Garrett County MD Chorale Society, The Southern Belles singers of Houston, Texas, and and a few other performing organizations here and there.

My genealogy research has led me to start joining lineage societies in recent years. I am in the Daughters of the Confederacy and have been a chapter Historian in the recent past. I am currently in my second term as a Recording ecretary for my DAR(Daughters of the American Revolution) Chapter, I am also a member of America's First Families, First Bailey's in America, The Winthrop Society, The National Society of Colonial Dames 17th Century, The National Society of Daughters of the American Colonists(DAC) FIrst Families of East Texas, Daughters of the Republic of Texas(DRT)Sons and Daughters of the First Families of Newbury Mass. I am also a member of First Families of Alabama, and Bloodlines of Salem, MA an online group. I regularly join these groups as I have time to do the necessary research and file the paperwork. Offices held within these groups include in the past Historian for the United Daughters of the Confederacy, and presently Recording Secretary for the Ft. Lewis Chapter of the DAR and Vice Regent of The Daughters of the American Colonists(DAC).

My fan page on facebook is here. Happy reading. One never knows what I will write about next. I surprise myself.
